PLP has on site two L20 Trumpf 3030, 5 kilowatt flatbed lasers with loader compact units attached. The machines come equipped with linear drives for rapid traverse actions and the high power output enables us to cut up to 25mm in mild steel, 20mm in stainless steel and 12mm in aluminium.
The automatic loading unit comes with sensitive sheet detection to ensure more than one sheet is not picked up when cutting thin gauge material. The unloading of components is carried out by a second feature of the loading unit which picks up what has just been cut and transports to a pallet above the loading unit.
Laser cutting offers a quick solution to creating components that would otherwise take hours to produce if being machined meaning large quantities of parts can be produced in a smaller amount of time. The machine ensures maximum production with no down time caused by uploading of components by hand. No down time means quicker processing and delivery of your components.
PLP pride ourselves on making the necessary investments in leading laser technology and expertise within our team. We have a reputation for taking on projects that many of our competitors would turn down before we have the necessary expertise to deliver.
